1945 Chevrolet Pickup
VIN: 20CK101503
There were few Chevrolet Pick-Ups sold in 1945 and for good reason. Between March 9th, 1942 and July 31st, 1945 only the Office of Defense could authorize the sale of a light duty truck to the civilian market. In an already low production market in these three years, fewer than 6,000 were titled as 1945's. There were few for sale only to qualified and essential buyers and required War Department authorization.
This beautiful 1945 Chevrolet Pickup truck lived in California. A complete frame off restoration on this rust free truck has just been completed with no expense spared on restoring this rare and very desirable body style. Powered by its original style inline 6 cylinder 216ci engine tied to an upgraded T5 5-speed manual transmission and matted to a higher gear rear end. The wells on each side of the wind shield are of historical meaning. During World War II, all grinding disc and lead was needed for military use, so the wells were left undressed. This little truck runs down the road at 70 mph with no problem. It is in mint condition! This is All-American USA steel. If you want a piece of true American history at its best, here it is!
