Although Pontiac could have, they never made a GXP (performance) verision of the G6 convertible. I purchased my G6 in Indiana from the Insurance Auto Auction website for $1,309.27 and rebuilt the car. It did need a front and rear bumper and there was a minor ding in the hood. I managed to source G6 GXP body parts and reassembled the car. This was my daily driver for a couple years, until the engine and trans began to have numerous problems. Though it was a fun car to cruise in, it was definitely NOT a car to speed around in. Because of the retractible hardtop roof, there was a lot of weight in the back end. Negotiating hard and fast corners was possible, but not something I would recommend in this car. Still as a cruiser, this was a VERY comfortable and good looking car. I feel, this would have been a real hit, if the car had more power, was lowered, had a better rear suspension and less weight in the roof.
