Hey guys just a quick update. I went over to Voltech on Friday and the B20 is almost done!!!!! I dropped all the engine parts off at the powder coat guy this morning. I have over 50 hours in the manifold alone! Here's a picture to prove it:
The valve cover, cap, intake manifold, injector caps, timing cover and thermostat housing are all getting powder coated chrome with clear. It should look great and be easy to clean. You'll notice the manifold is also shaved where the vacuum lines once went. Now they're on the bottom of the manifold to hide the lines.
More to come!

I got sick of looking at the 70's wood dash and decided to do something about it. The 60's 1800 dashboard insert was aluminum and looked like a vintage car should. The 70's came around and Volvo changed the dash to what looked like a wood paneling living room. Horrible! I bought an extra wood panel piece and realized the wood panel was actually a veneer that you could peel off with lots of time and effort. It took me about 12 hours from start to finish, but it worked. Here are some before and after photos.

I just got back from Vol-tech to check on the big bore build. Things are moving along! I'll probably cry when I can mate the M41 to the block. It's all about the little things in life, right?!
Here are some pics for the men out there who hate to read. Enjoy!
Port and polishing the head!
I love that Rob wrote on the head. Joe Big Bore! You gotta love those words!
