engine is on the ground.
it took 5 beers (6th went to my father for operating the crane..)

trans detached, everything REALLY needs a cleaning...
Ordered a stage 3 clutch from 032 motorsports, along with a EGT gauge and probe.
Still waiting on rings...
it's a non-tdi
it's using a 1.9L IDI (AAZ) head. along with a 1.9 metal gasket. Pump will be giles 12mm turbo.
I'm trying to find a vnt, if not - my 300d's t3 is looking mighty nice. I'm looking for a Garret 2055 (off of a sprinter turbo) I just picked up a TiAL 38mm wastegate from a fellow member yesterday.
Gapeless ring kit came in today. all I need is the squirters and it'll be off to automotive machine. I called the St. Clare VW dealership - the squirters were $35 EACH (and I thought the mercedes had expensive parts) THE BANJO BOLT WAS $15 gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Never heard of south bend clutch. Anyone know where I can find some manifolds for this thing? I need an exhaust shop also...

EGT is already ordered. It's the aircraft unit good to 2% with a fast probe.
The head is an AAZ 1.9 (you gotta talk slower man, I'm kinda new to the VW scene - to many part number ans models in that post) Sourced NEW build in mexcio to OEM specs. 1.9 Metal headgasket with haylomar gasket sealer will be used.
I went to PartsGalore (8 mile) in search of a 8v intake. I found three 1.8 rabbits/golfs, couldn't easily get any of the intakes off. I might just have to fab up a sheet metal deal. Will velocity stacks help at all, or can I just be lazy and do everything straight?
There has to be somewhere with an exhaust manifold around here. I'm going to call a few import junkyards on Tuesday. The VNT I'm looking for is 2052 or 2256 (2052 is a Europe only deal) Injection will be done by Giles, I'm send him two n/a pumps and my set of injectors. The two pumps will be traded for a built turbo pump (11 or bigger elements) and the injectors will be popped/spray tested with new nozzles picked out by Giles.
Oil Squirter's ordered today. What a kick in the teeth - $103 for the set.

I was thinking of using the VCV and a vac setup like the Mercedes guys usually use. If you have a better system, I'm listening.
The BOV came attached to the IC. It's fun to make noise, no?

I might end up using the t3 off my 300d until next season. I'm low on money, and theirs still plenty to buy.

The company is absolutely useless. I even asked about getting a group purchase. Apparently company's dont need consumers anymore?
Called around for a manifold. NOTHING.

if it didnt rain, I'd be disassembling the t3 to get the Internal wastegate welded shut. Along with rebuilding the vac. pump and steering rack.
I'm wondering how hard it's gonna be to mount the wastegate on this manifold.
