Installed OEM under seat drawers
Compliments of 71sbeetle @ www.vwvortex.com
I just installed the OEM under seat drawers, I decided to get one for each side for more storage.
Got them from TMTuning and they came with everything needed to install.
Tools needed for install:
10mm triple square
Torx 20 driver
Two flat head screwdrivers
Rivet gun
I am only showing the driver's side as both side are the same (the additional bracket goes on the outside of each seat, so left on the left seat and right on the right seat).
Here is what we are installing:
First, slide the seat all the way back and remove the two front 10mm triple square bolts that hold the seat rails in:
Now slide the seat all the way forward and remove both 10mm triple square bolts that hold the seat rails in:
Now tilt the seat back and look for the area where the additional bracket will be riveted to, in this picture you see 3 round holes between 2 square holes towards the top right of the pictures, you will be using the two smaller holes:
Here is the bracket you are installing with the supplied rivets:
And here is the bracket installed, note the threaded screw hole faces the front of the car:
Next, you will need to remove the drawer from it's frame in order to bolt up the frame to the seat. Lift that tab up with the help of two flat head screwdrivers (I tried lifting it by hand but it was too hard since it has to be lifted pretty high), then simply slide the drawer out:
Bolt the frame assembly in using the 5 supplied Torx 25 screws (2 on the inner side towards the center console and 3 closer to the outer side of the car):
Slide the drawer in and you're done !!!
don't mind the screwy white balance on that one lol:
That's it ! Repeat for the other side.

As usual, I am not responsible for anything that happens while you perform work on your car, do it at your own risk.
