I haven't been super open about them to this point because I wasn't 100%. Here go you though:

EJ257 block, STi nitride crank, STi bearings, STi rods, CP EJ255 Pistons, ARP head studs, Cosworth Head Gaskets, ID1000's, Perrin Fuel Rail, Gates timing equipment, STi oil pump, STi water pump, STi thermostat, NGK plugs, new walbro pump (it's been 5 years...)

and then of course a shmattering of gaskets.

STi rods are forged. Pistons are not. I talked to crawford (or cosworth.. can't remember off the top of my head) But they stated that the pistons are the weak link, and that the STi rods are a lot stronger than people give them credit for. They only recommended aftermarket rods, and aftermarket bearings over 500whp. They recommended pistons over 400whp.

Plus... I don't have to break the casehalves for the pistons.. I would for the rods. The cost goes up a lot if I do rods and bearings.

I've got GREAT NEWS, and really bad news....

So... I melted the piss out of a piston, and put a hole through the stock block. So... resale of the block? Not happening. Also... the heat of the cylinder means I have to replace the valves in that cylinder.

But... the heads are good!! And there was no valve tapping!  So my cams are good!
