I finally got all the leaks out of my fuel system tonight. One of the hose ends I got was defective so I had to get it replaced which totally cleared up the problem. I also sent my finished pipes in to get powder coated. Hopefully everything will be done by Thursday evening and I can get a head start putting it all back together this weekend.
I am extremely nervous about starting the car. I am super worried about the fuel system, the motor, the break-in map, etc. The suspense is killing me!

Well, there's no way the car is starting today. I just got the air filter and it doesn't clear the TGV housing. Bummer. I guess I had better call Element and tell Phil that I am not ready.
IT RUNS!!!
OMG, IT RUNS!!!
With much thanks due to my good friend (and vendor) Ryan Moore form Moore Performance SHE RUNS!!! At about 4:45PM today (Sat April 23rd) the car came to life for the first time since mid October 2010. This was only possible because Ryan Moore drove 75 miles from his shop to my house to hand deliver an air filter that actually fits. The filter that Ryan brought me isn't perfect but it works well enough to be temporary. Moore Performance is going to make me a custom cone filter with the exact dimensions needed to fit directly on the turbo under the intake manifold.
After finishing the assembly we primed the oil system many times (I lost count but I think it was six or eight) with 30 seconds of cranking and between 2 and 5 minutes of cool down in between. The car almost instantly sprang to life and shot to 101PSI of oil pressure. We let it run for about four or five min and shut it down because it was running pretty rich. Other than that fact that the tune is a bit off I think we are in pretty good shape. I have an email into Phil now to talk about the limp map and the AFRs being off so I will post an update when I get one.
So here's what it looks like:
Here's the filter that caused all the fuss:
Here's the turbo from above and below:
This is the oil filter on the turbo (its an FP thing):
Here's the fuel system with the new PTFE Lines:
We did lots of work on the custom cold side intercooler pipe so that it would work with my meth jets and TiAL BOV:

Here's my block heater and the wire:
One more pict:
I installed a battery minder to keep the little battery in top condition. It reminds me of my electric four wheeler that I had when I was 5.
Ryan also brought me a 5gal of his "Crystal Meth" product (50/50) and a few bottles of his super environmentally friendly race coolant. I may have considered drinking this stuff if the car exploded or something stupid. LOL!
Nice!
