Update,

Thought I'd finish the Flitch off today so me and my dad got straight to it.

Removed the windscreen -

And then removed the scuttle as I'll be replacing this with a new Heritage panel, not going to use the scuttle corner repair I picked up from Bingley, don't know what i was thinking when I bought that -

AF0CFAF9-1448-4885-A52D-CC8B9D9380C1_zps

Drilled out the spot welds -

Discovered more of the brown stuff -

Sanded and Kurust applied -

Zinc Primed -

Top coat for protection -

Then we made a piece for the top of the Flitch -

Final trimming and the bend added to the piece, then primed and top coat applied -

Welded in -

There was also a small hole at the top of the inner wing, as you can see above, so we made a small piece and welded that in -

Inside -

That all we got done today, big update for such a small repair I know but it's these repairs that seem to take the most time. Going to replace the inner wing lip tomorrow and then I might remove the rear subframe in preparation for repairing the heel board.

That's all for today !
