Good news, my dad has been, as he likes to say, 'tinkering' with my Midget for a couple days and he got it running tonight! He drove it around the block a couple times and only noticed a few issues, like the RPM being a bit high(4000 in 4th at 40, with RPM increasing but not speed), the headlights cut on and off randomly, and the battery wont stay charged for more than a couple starts. I think i can resolve the light and battery issues, but i have no ideas about the RPM problem.

I haven't done anything to it, but the guy before me put in a cassette tape player. He wired it up wrong, fried it, and unplugged it, but its still mounted in the car
