After test fitting the monitor, we resin the fleece.
Now comes the part that I hate the most...sanding. I still hate it till this day.
And more sanding after numerous layer of bondo.
While the sanding was going on, I took the time to add Focal sound deadening on the trunk lid area.
More Focal sound deadening in the trunk floor as well.
Trying to look for a good place to set the amps. I decided to go with 2 Arc Audio amps.
Once the sanding was smooth, the trunk lid was wrapped with matching leather like the subwoofer.
Testing the completed trunk lid and running all the wires.
Test fitting the Focal mid/tweets before the final secure.
And here is the completed project. Hope you all like it.....

It's been a while since I posted anything here...8 months to be exact. Adding some pic that was taken a few months back.
Been gathering parts to go another path on this project. As some of you already know, There are a few guys on CL that did a 2013+ conversion. (MrExecutive and Mex Lex), I will give that as shot as well. I always liked the spindle grille when it was first introduce, the way the 2013 FSport looks is amazing.
2013+ FSport Heaadlights
OEM bumper, spindle grille, and upper/lower grille.
This is how the car sit now. I ended up selling the front Black Pearl kit, Wald fenders and custom hood to a buddy in SoCal.
Removing the front bumper to send out.
Car been siting like this for the last 5 months waiting on parts to come in.

Now that all the OEM parts are counted for, I can't leave the front end stock. I decided to go with Black Pearl again. I meet with Singo Utumi (Black Pearl owner) last year at Osaka Auto Messe and saw the FSport in person and knew I wanted this setup if I ever got a FSport. Contacted him about the lip kit and he committed to expediting it...got the lip kit 2 months later. Note: The first Black Pearl kit took 5 months to get here.
Test fitting on the OEM bumper
Close up of the corner and LED opening.
Proof of authenticity
Glued the lip kit to the OEM bumper.
More pictures of the kit from the other side. Glue is now dried.
Removed excess polyurethane glue.
Started the molding process. I'm not a big fan of lip kit. I just don't like the lines showing. Molding it is the best option to make it look like a full bumper replacement.
I don't like the headlight washer opening on the new bumper so I decided to fill it. First with a piece of polyurethane from an old side skirt.
Then i filled it with poly filler and sand it down.
Comparison between non molding and the molding outcome.
Black Pearl lip kit molded onto OEM bumper...completed.
Close up angle of the completed molding.
I'll call this the "last piece of the puzzle" modification. I don't think I can do anything else after this is install. I'll let the pictures speak for itself.

Haven't posted in a while. This was test fitting the Wald fenders and the Black Pearl 2013+ front end. This was using the 2007 front brackets etc. I will need to replace the radiator bracket and misc. brackets to make the conversion fit better.

2013+ hood fitment.
The HKS supercharger came in a few months back but haven't had the time to install it. All work was done by me and my good friend Carlin over at Impact Performance in San Mateo.
A few new pulleys and brackets.
Cleaned up some of the wiring that needs to be tucked under the supercharger.
The supercharger in with all the belts and pulleys and just need to do all the pipings.
Since we are installing the supercharger, it was a good time to replace all the front brackets for the conversion.
Before front brackets and supercharger.
After with the new conversion support brackets and supercharger installed.

Got the intercooler in and added a 2013+ crash bar to the front. Now onto all the pipings.
All the pipings were done late last night and just need to tie up a few loose end and I can start the car and get it off the lift. Hopefully later this week.

A current picture of the supercharger and a few upgrade to make it look more presentable.
Testing the LS600 headlights for fitment and function since we had to run a plug and play cable. Everything function correctly along with the turn signals.
A overview of the front end with the intercooler in along with the Black Pearl F-Sport lip kit that was molded.

Not much of an update but here is some minor engine bling... I don't like how the coolant bottle didn't flow with the rest of the HKS upgrade, so I had a friend make a cover and cap out of stainless steel to flow with everything else.

It's been a long weekend working on this project. Car came out of paint and we started installing the new BBK and test fit the new VIP Modular wheels, These wheels and BBK been sitting on the shelf since April. Got all the windows and trims back on. Still got the full interior to put back together as well as the sunroof and headliner. Everything should be done by this Friday.

The project is now complete. Got a few more little things to take care of once the car come back from SEMA. But aside from that, I am very content with the outcome. The car will be display in the Toyo Treadpass this year at SEMA. Here is a quick shot we did inside the Impact Performance's garage before going on the trailer.
