Havent had time to get back onto the jeep. Been working on the house and spending time with family. Yesterday at work I had the enjoyment of replacing a dash harness in a 2016 hrv. Made me think I should be working on my wiring since its much simpler.

So a while back I had ordered a gasket kit for my dana 300, the kit never came. I finally got around to ordering another one. Should be here next Monday or Tuesday. If it comes I'm pulling it apart next week. If everything looks good then il re seal it and put it back together, if not I'm ordering more parts. I have a couple different engines on stands in my garage, one of them is a low km 5.0 ford I'd like to use in a different future cj project, my brother in law is cleaning out his storage barn and may have a good np435 4x4 transmission for me. If he does il post some pics when I bring it home.

Nothing fancy. Just my transfercase sitting on my work bench waiting for the gasket kit to come on tuesday before I tear it apart.
Took one of my spare center sections to work and counted the teeth. Ot was tagged 2.75 and that's what the count worked out too. I have another one I'm gonna check as well. I think the tag said it's a 3.55. Will see when I count the teeth on it. Wanted to make sure neither actually have 4.10 gears in them.
Those things are heavy. The one in my jeep is supposed to be the stronger of the 3 if I remember correctly judging by the ribbing and letters on them. It may or may not have a factory locker in it as well. May be a welded diff. Haven't pulled it yet. After I get the transfercase re sealed and cleaned up I want to move onto re-gearing one of my axles.
