Sorry for the lack of updates, got a job working for Goodyear (discounts hehehe!) so been lacking on time after the commute home. Im still working on the long tube header swap, managed to get them in place. The passenger one actually went in from the top! How many Camaros can you do that on? Just waiting on header gaskets and start bolting everything back in place.
Im thinking of running some bullets off the headers with turn downs for least power loss since I need some form of a muffler as this will still be street driven.
Just ordered some American Racing Torque Thrust II's for the Z/28. Went with 15x4s for the front and 15x8s in the back. Hopefully they will fit (sales rep says he puts them on all the time on 4th Gens, but Ive heard that before) So provided they fit (I know I will have to grind on the calipers some, but thats a given) I have some 28x10.50 MT ET Drags sitting in the garage I will try and squeeze in there and see how long the 10 bolt holds up. May go with Moser axles to help? Front tires and rims expected in mid week so I will definatly have pics when those come into work.
Im getting excited as the weather starts warming up, would like to make it to the track soon, provided this rain stops at some point. So dont worry, pics and updates coming soon, probably about a months worth all at once though.
Still need to finish the LS1 lid conversion. I need to trim the underside of the hood, if anyone in the NW Chicago burbs wants to give me a hand with that, I dont have any dremels or whatever and Im not the best with getting a straight cut. PM me and Ill provide the beer
Still on the list for the winter/spring 09 mods are: 8 point cage, 150 shot, 847 cam, stock heads and intake ported and polished, stall (th350 trans swap?) and gears.
