It's still the same Billet Grille. I just painted behind it (the bumper itself) and it came out looking VERY good! It definentely hides the color of the car, and shows off the billet grille more. Plus if you purchase the billet grille, it comes with the inside of it painted black and only the front part polished. I still need to polish the front of the grille and then touch up a few spots.
Here's what it looked like with the grille removed. And then I sanded it down and cleaned off the paint residue to get ready for the new black spray paint.
Here it is with about 3 or 4 coats of Black gloss spray paint!
And here is the outcome with the grille put back on the car. If you look close, you can see where the inside of the grille comes black already and just the front is polished. When you put the black paint on the bumper behind it, the whole grille looks Black and ALOT better....
And heres another picture of the car with 20's on the back and 18's on the front, along with my 96 RS on a set of Chrome 20's... 1 is for show, and the other is for GO!
Ok well now I want to post some before and after pics, lol!
What do you guys think? Does it look better now?
Not to mention the car went from 13.5 @ 105 mph STOCK - 12.99 @ 109 mph with PS LT's, TD's, and an SLP Lid and K&N Filter to 11.22 @ 123 mph with a 403 LS2 Stroker on my FIRST pass with the car. Then I adjusted the suspension and dropped a little weight and it Went 10.99 @ 125 mph on my 2nd time to the track!
I think it's came a LONG way since day 1!
Wow great !
