According to all their documentation, it will fully control a 4L60 or 80. Neither my car or Joe's has an electronictrans so I will not be able to provide any info regarding that. We fired up the car Saturday but I didn't have time to work on it. Going to be doing that today. Should have some feedback tonight.

Yes

Yes

And I'm already in the 8's.

Well today I have been able to get into the computer but I am having some issues. Currently on hold for AEM's customer support.

My first issue is the voltage being reported to the AEM EMS from the TPS. The voltage is constantly fluctuating and is only sweeping from .6 (closed throttle) to 1.2 (open throttle). When I disconnect the AEM and connect Joe's 99 PCM, the voltage reports correctly (.4-4.5v). We verified it at the wire with a volt meter both ways.

The other problem is that the IAC motor is clicking lick crazy. All this stuff is being checked with the key in the "on" position and the car off. Can't really do anything else until this is resolved.

One other thing that I noticed was the #4 coil was not showing as being enabled but coils 9 and 10 are (which I dont use) so I enabled coil #4.

Spoke to the tech support guy. He said to disconnect all the extra inputs and output just to make sure that I wasn't getting some sort of feedback from something else. He also said that the voltage should go to full 4.5v or whatever when the plug is disconnected from the TPS. I get the lowest reading. Steve is convinced that it should read 0.0 or there abouts and not the full 4.5-5v like the MAP, IAT and ECT. I hate stupid **** that jams up the process.

Thanks for the info. My low side voltage seems to be OK. It's the high side that is all over the place whenever I connect to the AEM EMS. The AEM is reporting the same as the volt/ohm meter so I know that it isn't lying. As soon as I hook up the stock PCM, I see like 4.6v in the meter at WOT. My friend Steve is going to check the one at his house on Joe's project car to see if it is doing the same thing. I should note that we had to repin my 98 harness but that is why we are testing it against a 99 PCM which seems to work fine. This tells me that the wiring must be correct. It also seems to be the only sensor giving me a hard time. Perhaps there is a problem in the EMS for this particular sensor or there is an additional wire that needs to be connected to a pin that the stock PCM doesn't call for.

I really was hoping to be tuning today but it was a bust due to this issue. Hopefully tomorrow will bring better things.

Yeah, when I first got started, I was on this site alot and it helped me lots and saved me money along the way. I feel obligated to share and I'm still benefiting in the process. I just caution the new guys to use some common sense along the way as there is some bad info out there that you have to sift thru.

So back on topic, I got some good news from Steve. Apparently Joe's AEM is reporting voltage properly so he is going to bring it to the shop tomorrow so that we can switch it out with mine. So we'll be able to atleast determine if it's the PCM or wiring.
