Bringing the camaro back home
First off thanks guys for all of the kind words, and taking the time to check out my project. Back to the bodyshop Sunday morning, the car was unmasked and rolled outside. Paint looks awesome, I'm very happy with how it turned out. It was lots of work but well worth it. We decided to hold off on mounting the rear spoiler and give the paint another day or two to cure. And as promised here are some pics.
Here we are back at my house getting unloaded from the flatbed.
And here is the car back under the canopy in my backyard where all of the restoration work took place.
And one pic of the gloss black paint we sprayed on the underside of the AMD hood.
Is this antique white? It looks more like 10 White.
Are the stripes supposed to go that far down? I think they are supposed to stop before the lip. Maybe not on a three piece?
All in all, looks great! I am jealous!

Friday and Saturdays progress...
I started off mounting my rear spoiler and rear filler panel, tail lamps with the new gaskets, the rear bumper, and the rear licence plate holder. Then the trunk weatherstrip and door weatherstrips were installed. Sounds easy but this took just about all day.
Today i had a guy come over to give me an estimate on installing the headliner, rear glass and a new windshield. While he was here he put in my headliner and rear glass, both for $150.00 He will be putting in the front glass when it comes in on Tuesday. I wasnt ready for the headliner yet so i had to run the wires for the dome lamp and install the fat mat on the roof before the headliner went up.
The pics of the headliner makes it look like it has white stains all over it, but it is clean, the camera lens must have been dirty. This was probably the best $100 dollars i have spent on this car, getting the hedliner installed. The guy did a jam up job on the headliner and the rear glass. Money well spent. It would have taken me at least 2-3 days to get that headliner in the car and it probably wouldnt look as good.
Before the rear glass was installed i put the sail panel trim in place, and also the package tray. So, for the first two days of vacation im happy with the progress so far. Should have it water tight in the next few days.
Oh i almost forgot lol I also installed the front lower valance. I still need to adjust the pasenger side for a little better fit.
Great cars so cool back then. I believe about $3,600 at the time?
