Heres a few pics of the spot weld cutter that i use LT. It works very well the only problem ive found is when your drilling on an uneven surface and the bit starts to walk you can snap the centering pin. Has not dulled on me yet.

Only a half day in the body shop LOL...
First i removed a few brackets off of my old floor pan i still need to glass bead and paint them before installing them on the new pan.
Next i had to run to my job and pick up some ice for a little BBQ we had monday afternoon. While getting the ice i got a little distracted and wound up at the glass beading machine with my hood latch.... I just wish i took the two floor pan brackets also but i didnt. Any how when i got back to the house i primed the hood latch.
Then i started to clean up my toe kick to repair the butcher job patch that i had found on Sunday. And believe it or not i found another crappy patch job on the toe kick, hiding more rust.
Needless to say the toe kick was toast and i cut it out of the car.
Running out of time i was able to clean up and treat the support under the toe kick, and then it was BBQ time.

Progress is a good thing...
Only got to work on the car on Sunday this weekend i had to take care of the yard on Sat. Trying to get an early start without waking up the neighbors, I went to my job to glass bead a few parts.
After getting back to the house the parts were cleaned and primed.
Now that it was past ten oclock i started removing the floor pan under the rear seat on the drivers side.
Off to the donor to remove the l/s toe kick and the rear seat floor board.
Here is a pic of the replacement panels and the rusty panels that were cut out of the car. The toe kick will need some minor work where the e-brake cable slot is in the floor board before being welded into place.
I then spent a little time trimming and fitting both of my patch panels.
I will take both patch panels to work on Monday to throw them in the glass beader and clean them up. Then both will be primed and painted on both sides before installation. I treated the frame rail under the rear seat while it was exposed, it will along with the other cross members and fire wall support will be primed and painted before the welding will be done. Don't look like a hole lot but believe it or not it took me all day to get it done. I was hoping to get a little more done. Thanks for taking a look at my project ROB

Work after work...
I was able to glass bead both floor patches today at work. After work i decided to do a little repair to my toe kick patch panel in the e-brake slot.
It turns out i needed to remove a little more than this one area.What i thought to be a quick repair turned into a few hour project Heres a few pics of the areas that were cut out.
After i cut and fit my two patches for my patch panel LOL... i grabbed a cold beer and did a little thinking..... then welded everything together and ground down the welds.

Floor pan differences73-79
LT here are some floor pics the first three are of the 73 R/S floor and the last two are of the R/S floor of the 79. Its a little hard to tell but there is a much taller hump infront of the front seat track mounting holes.
Great cars so cool back then. I believe about $3,600 at the time?
