Sunday progress..

I wanted to get an early start but being Sunday i couldnt make too much noise before 10am. So i began stripping the guts out of my drivers door. After that i refit the L/S rocker one last time installing a few cleco fastners on the topside. I then removed the rocker prepared the outside of it for expoy and also the inside of one of my quater skins in case i had a little extra primer in the gun. I then sprayed the cowl area, the rocker and quater skin.

While removing the internals of my door i found a small chunk of bondo inside the door  Im preparing for the worst as i began to strip the paint off of it.

And sure enough i found a little more rust that needs to be repaired. If rust were worth any kind of money I'd be loaded lol.

Sunday Progress continued...

Couldnt fit any more pics in the last post. Here are a few pics of my door stripped and some rust hidden under the paint and bondo.

Before closing the bodyshop my rocker had dried and i couldnt resist putting it back on the car. Once the repairs are made to my door and get it primed i will hang it on the car to check rocker panel gaps and weld in the rocker. When thats finished next up will be the drivers side floor pan and toe kick. Im starting to see spot welds in my sleep...

Great cars so cool back then. I believe about $3,600 at the time?
