In between events, we prepare the car for upcoming events (inlcuding shows) and work on our livery.
Scott Kim of AAE came over to our humble garage in HB and installed clear bra on the hood -

With about a half tank of gas, it's around 3400 lbs. - which isn't much more than our required weight (around 3375 range)
Our plan is to get Dinan Software in Sept.
We could maybe shed a little more with an aftermarket passenger seat (stock seat weighs around 58 lbs.), but then we'd be pretty close to our class weight (around 3375). It is legal to change some of the other things (battery, exhaust), but if unless we need to lose more weight, there is not much incentive. Car is starting to show some promise on track, but it is heavy and does understeer.
BMW Club Racing is looking into reviewing a lot of the weights based on whether or not BMW factored in a 180 lb. driver as part of the listed weights.
If we could use true coilovers and aftermarket adjustable camber plates, we'd be a lot closer to neutralizing the understeer. But on our Crevier M3, even with all of those things (-4 deg. camber, 275 front tires and front track pushed out as far as possible), it still has low speed understeer at some tracks. So based on the limitations of our rules in stock class, we may never be able to make the car fully neutral.
But we are a long way from done on this car, so as the months go by, we'll keep trying ways within the rules to improve the handling.
