So, it's inevitable that we're moving which means the Jeep needs to get dragged out there somehow. I bought some tow shackles and installed them. I also replaced the spring bushings on the shackle side in the rear since they were a little worn and I had extras.

Time to test.

Seemed to pull ok. I'm going to hit the highway today and test some more. I did make a left turn from a stop light straight up a steep incline and it was slow going it chugged along.

Here's a pic from Currie on how the tow shackles attach to any standard tow bar.

Got my ARB installed at ECGS and found out from them my rear issue was the rear driveshaft. The centering yoke to be precise.

Took it apart a couple days ago to confirm.

Ok. This thread is on life support but not completely dead. I installed the compact ARB compressor and all the wiring and plumbing associated with it. Seems to work from what I can tell. I just need to properly test it. The compressor is quiet and only runs on a 12V ACC source. Going to ride at Uwharrie one more time before I tow the Jeep out to Arizona.

Well, I tried to crank the jeep after the install of the compressor...and nothing. The battery was drained. I must have a short circuit with the wiring. This is the second time it's been dead after sitting overnight. I put it on trickle charge and unplugged the 12V source for the compressor. I have another wire for "illumination" that's tied into the light that shines over the switches under the speedometer. I'll unplug that one if it still dies after sitting a while.

Thanks Chris. I will be moving in a couple weeks. Should be some good wheeling out there at least.

So, I'm sure I'll get some head shakes and "Why didn't you..." but whatevs. I think I'm going to get the Yukon Spin Free kit for my D30 and have it a 5x5.5 bolt pattern, making the hubs larger. I already run wheels with 5 x 5.5 on adapters.

I took the wheel lock pin out...by cutting it. This will help when flat towing in case I forget to put the key in the ignition and unlock the wheel.

I keep neglecting my own build thread. Anyway, here are some updates...

After moving to Phoenix I found out I need to get my Jeep emission tested which has not been done in the 18 years I have owned this thing. That being said, my exhaust was in sad shape and probably wouldn't pass the inspection. Pics below.
