Here's where I'm at on the front fender.
I wanted to go make hi-line fenders, I really never liked the front hood/grill on my Jeep. I wanted to try and make it a little more sloped downward from the cowl to the front bumper, not a lot just a little. Mine grill and front of the hood seemed to be higher than the cowling.
I lowered the front grill/radiator assembly 1" (bascicly removed the 1" body mount's) Leaned the top of the grill/radiator back and cut my hood about 3" (as far as I could). Got the tubing bent, formed the mounting plates, cut the sheet metal and made the opening for the insert for the side panel.
I picked up a couple of OEM doner fenders off CL for $10 each. I'm going to try and use the inner fender on my tube fenders, not sure how they will work the HiLine"s that I making but for $20 it's worth a try.
I also made the cut out for the side fender insert. I have everything mocked up tonight and should start welding tomorrow..........
Lots of details wow!
