Sideskirt replacement

got myself some aero skirts.
they needed painting so i masked things off
and heres how to fit.
first remove the old skirts.
remove the chrome sill plates, a heat gun and long thin blade and a bit of care will have them off in a re-usable condition.
i wasnt to bothered, so pry up one end and then pull!
this reveals 4 clips in the top of the skirt, pry those out
now move to the underside of the skirt.
along the bottom are 8 or 9 screw clips and one philips screw at the rear
remove these, the plastic ones look like this (skirt removed to show how they go)
they fit in these holes in the skirt
once all the clips/screw you can see are out, you need to just pull the skirt off its remaining clips, they will snap but its ok, they are supposed to. to get the clips out of the body of the car turn them through 90 degrees
now get your replacement skirt, in my case aero, you will need some new clips, there are 5 on the aero skirt 2 of the white ones, 3 of the other, slide them into the slots on the skirt
the aero doesnt clip along the top like the standard skirt, get some foam double sided tape and run it along the inside of the skirt where the clips would run
before lining up the skirt, pull away i bit of the backing on the tape so you can grab it once the skirt is in place, now line up the clips and push the skirt onto the car.
now replace the clips along the bottom, you may need some new ones of these too, but they are designed to be reusable.
lastly, grab the end of the backing tape, pull it off and push the skirt down so its sticks
