fitted the spot lamps through the grill although we couldn't wire them up fully as we didn't have a 12v relay >_<

hi all, not much progress but here goes. we took the speaker board out of the car yesterday and my dad took it to work and cut a new one as the old one had been adjusted to fit and had split at the end when we came to it the next day >_< and i also got a metre by 2 metre length of black carpet to wrap the speaker board, whilst it is out, and my boot board :proud: my dad is at a golf weekend away as of tomorrow so i will refit the board + speakers, the rest of the carpet, rear door cards (after a clean) and all the seats and seat belts (again after a good clean) so hopefully the car will look pretty much finished as of Saturday afternoon :gimme: i now also have a 12v relay so my spots can be wired through to the dash

i still need to get a few finishing bits and pieces:

-standard dash switch for my spots
-thirty pin stripes (already have the three decals)
-rear mud flaps
-a black hand brake gator as the exposed handbrake lets the interior down imo
-new number plates
-stone guards for the head lamps and spots (i might make them myself as i cant find any to fit my spots >_<)
-maybe a 'mini' boot badge but undecided yet as they were originally fitted to thirties but i do like the smoother look at the moment :mmkay:
-oh, and a cigarette lighter thing for my nav sat

PS: as of next weekend, i am starting sell off my spare parts so pretty much anything you've seen in this build that hasn't been used on the car will be for sale, i will advertise in the for sale section and links to ebay auctions :proud:

hi all, toady i spent a few hours in the garage when i got home from collage

i wrapped my boot board

Posted Image

it really finishes off the boot area nicely :proud:

Posted Image

then i wrapped my newly cut speaker board

Posted Image

cut the holes for the speakers out

Posted Image

fitted the speakers and the covers

Posted Image

Posted Image

wired them back up a fitted the board (forgot to take pic) and it looks great against the red carpet :D when i tested my speakers though, i found that my two middle 5.25" speakers aren't working :mmkay: after a diagnosis with my tester, i found that my ebay purchased wire is faulty >_< (the other two had proper automotive wire with them and they work fine) there is power to them but the negatives are both bust :mmkay:

hi all, spent 8 or so hours on Cliff today....the interior is now finished :gimme:

every part of the interior is original bar the new carpets as the old ones were damp, torn and filthy >_<

note my very sophisticated safety device  i absolutely love this interior, best one ever factory fitted to a mini if you ask me

nice mean looking photo :P

whilst i was sat in the drivers seat, for the first time in 11 months, i messed around with my radio settings (inbetween making engine noises and pretending i was screaming through a rally stage :teehee:) i tried adjusting the balance of my speakers as the two middle ones are wired as fronts but they still just hum when i turn them up >_< so i'm going to have to get some proper automotive speaker wire from somewhere...ebay, here i come (i'll never learn  )

comments welcome

last week i had some new number plates made up with a custom slogan underneath advertising my businesses name (when i get one )

i think it really gives cliff his limited edition-ness back :proud: i also replaced my dud speaker wire and all my speakers work great now :gimme:

finally we fitted my rear number plate and a nice mini thirty cushion on the parcel shelf =]

as of now, all my spares are for sale...pretty much every thing you see here, bar Cliff of course ;D, including the pile of motoring literature (mainly owners handbooks and parts list for old bikes, cars and trucks) is for sale

also there is my old exhaust system, boot lid, bonnet and both doors

currently on ebay are the two metro door pockets, OE mini jack, early battery cable, austin hubcap, type y (tractor :teehee:) lift pump and my 30 A+ engine stickers. the rest of my stuff i will be selling on here and at shows

hi all, i can't believe i haven't even touched my mini for more than a week now :ohno: there just simply isn't anything i can work on but i am now looking for some twin hs2's and some ram pipes with piper cross filter socks to spice up the engine bay a bit more and hopefully get squeeze more ponies and torque out of the lump :D i'm also liking the idea of a 12g295 head and a turbo charger but that's getting a bit ahead of my self...i can barely afford my insurance as it is O_O

mot has been set back a few weeks and i'm itching to get on the road >_< i have my theory test in two weeks tuesday so fingers crossed :shy:
