hi all, today we attached the drive shafts and hubs after having to swap the drive shafts over as they were refitted to the wrong hubs and fitted the front wheels, i will take some photos tomorrow as it is late now and i don't feel well >_< but now all the running gear is back on the car

today we run the new battery cable, it was a bit fiddly to run in the engine bay but the rest went very smoothly, just got to make a bracket to mount the isolator on the shock mount tomorrow. all that is left to do now is wire in the loom and then it is time for the big switching on

hi all, today we finished off the battery cable and installed the isolator switch in the boot

we also test fitted the rest of the exhaust, a few hits against the trolley jack and the correct alignment was achieved ;D just got to weld the y piece into a different angle so the centre piece clears the gear linkage

i will up load some photos tomorrow, just the loom left now so it's looking good for Saturday to be D day

comments welcome as always

hi all, today we spent 6 lonnngg hours on the loom: cleaning, repairing, correcting previous bodges and generally neatening up. the loom for the engine is fitted and wired in, we now just need to loosely fit and wire in the dials for the dash and fit the steering rack and then we can fire him up :gimme: i also couldn't resist buying a new chrome tailpipe whilst queueing in mega spares and it really finishes off the back end of the car  i will upload some photos tomorrow as there isn't really that much to see at the moment

i have also decide to go ahead with converting to a blade type fuse box and fuses, i know that this is risky business but half the wiring loom has already been previously bridged with blade fuses and nothing ever set on fire so i might as well finish the other half off and wire them all into a new fuse box to tidy the loom up as there is fuses hanging here and there. plus one row of terminals on the old fuses box has corroded quite badly >_<
