So not much to update as I've been pretty ill lately! May of got 2 more stickers though....
I'm not 100% on them so I'm expecting some stick for them!
I'm not too sure really but we'll see.
Apart from that I've developed a weird whirring noise coming from the front offside. I'll be very annoyed if it's a bearing already as it's only done 7.5k miles! Not sure what else it could be though. Ahh well I'll pull it all apart eventually.
Problems of using these cars properly I suppose!

I'm still undecided...
We'll see.
So yet another busy weekend miniing!
I've always struggled taking passengers as over any reasonable bump I burn my rear tyres on the inner arches!
So off it came!
mmmmmmm I love my minifins.
Old Knackered cones vs new ones.
The old (I'm assuming original) Cones where very attached to their homes, and shed the rubber leaving the metal housings on the trumpet and subframe. The Subframe side was easy. One large tap and the cup popped out. The trumpet side on the other hand would not budge.
In the end after heating, hammering, and far too much penetrating fluid I had to resort to the angle grinder. Cut the tops off the cups and then carefully slotted the remains. Managed to liberate the trumpets with no damage!
Liberated trumpet.
Had a little trouble with one of the nylon cups. It would seem one arm got refurbished, one didn't.
Much swearing occurred.
Also had new built up knuckles with new cups, just because it would be silly not too.
Aaaaaaaaand back down on the ground.
Now thats a properly stanced mini.
I then went to meet up with someone I met at Stanford Hall. Also an avid Mini Challenge fan.
He thought my car may have been an ex-challenge car! So my plan succeeded.
Ended up talking for ages about the race series and 1275 GT's.
He even provided this....
coming to a certain GT very soon.

So this was the order of the day today!
I finally got fed up of driving round with what sounding like a pestle and motor in my diff!
Oh the grinding was awful.
I've become a bit of a dab hand at engine removal! Had it out in no time.
& the offending item.
So there's a bit of play!
So hopefully with this hoard
I should be able to fix it!
We'll see tomorrow.
