It's not good for inspiring confidence is it! I think I'll be following the advice of GraemeC and fit exhaust hangers, as they have to take a bit more punishment so should last a little longer.
& again thankyou, I'm glad you like it. :)
I finished fitting the replacement bushes supplied by minispares on Friday. They also supplied me with a replacement gearbox stabiliser bush FOC, although this did not fit. I ended up making my own.
This was the replacement bush supplied and the metal sleeve that was inserted in it's place. I used some rubber tubing cut to the exact size of the hole to simulate the proper bush.
The one supplied was a good 2mm larger in diameter to the hole in the gearbox casing.
Once this was done I gave everything a good look over before a little road trip.
The trip was down to Cambridge for a friends birthday. Decided to take this mini because, well I don't know because I'm an idiot.
Performed beautifully and on less than a tank. I arrived late on Friday and when I went back to get my bags later I found She'd made a friend.
So to the owner of a lovely R reg Sports pack I did find that amusing :)
Then a quick wash.
Just as I finished it rained, typical!
