Doesn't show up too well in the photos but the trailing arm tabs welded to the frame were not parallel it seems the spacers fitted were under-size forcing the tabs closer at the top than at the bottom like this /\ this meant the spacers were touching unevenly and would not have provided a good clamping action, i fixed this using a bit of threaded bar and two nuts and washers undoing the nuts eased the tabs apart, they have come out pretty good , now i have to make new spacers to fit, the extra washer in the picture shows how much the tabs must have been forced together
I have another problem on this side of the car the outer pair of tabs are welded out of position meaning the rose joints on the trialling arm have to be adjusted like this to get the arm square , i am hoping this wont matter too much, i suppose i will find out when it comes to suspension set-up time
The arm and tabs and spacers on other side of the frame seem to fit better
This thing is insane!
