Wheels color change - plastidip adventure

So I got my hands on 5 cans of plastidip anthracite gray which is a metallic gunmetal.
I figured I have this extra set of oem wheels on winters so why not experiment on them just so I can change it from time to time.
added glossifier as well to give it some shine. this is just an experiment to see how plastidip holds up to the winter elements while protecting the wheels from salt/mud etc.
heated up the dip/glossifier and shook them well.
...lets do it! i'll peel around the center emblems later. also put quarters into the lug holes so when the wheels go on, the impact wrench wont strip the dip. these will be hung to dry for a few weeks before they are put onto the car.

These are winter rims... not going to spend too much time cleaning them other than hosing them off and yah, using a microfiber towel to gently clean the dipped area. not concerned with dip on the tires...that'll just peel off easily.
I'm not a dip pro..but... .... ....

fresh coat of glossifier..
I really hope all it takes is a soapy wet microfiber towel to clean these....

redid these wheels by adding 3 layers of Plastidip 'Pearlizer'....I kinda dig the aluminum look and finish. its not quite the same as the stock silver finish on these wheels.
BEFORE: (graphite gray metallic dip)

as promised.... the plastidip adventure continues with:
Silver Metallizer on top of Matte Black yields a hyper black/dark gun metal.
for reference: left wheel is metallizer on graphite gray dip vs right wheel is metallizer on matte black dip
