DIY High end speaker cables - at a fraction of the cost

There's two schools of thought when it comes to speaker cables and IC's (Interconnects. The cables that connect your electronics together).
Many people think that exotic and expensive cables make a sonic or visual difference and some will spend thousands of dollars on them. I'm talking about $1000, $5000, $20000 or more.
Others think it makes no difference at all. I am firmly in this camp. AFAIC a cable either works or it doesn't. Provided, of course, that you use the proper gauge for what you running and distances involved.
The one thing I do like about the expensive speaker cables is that they look nice, clean and professional.
I looked into it and ended up making my own for a fraction of the price of those "high end" speaker cables.
I needed a longer run but these prices are for (2) 12.5 ft. of speaker cable
I'm not affiliated with any of the companies that make this stuff but I'm still not sure if it's cool to post links but if you're interested PM me I guess.
12/2 in wall speaker wire $16.00 (50ft. least you can buy from my source)
25 ft. 1/2" Braided expandable sleeving $8.00
(4) Speaker wire pants $4.00
(8) Banana plugs $20.00 (you can get cheaper but these are the ones I liked)
Shipping was around $12.00 IIRC
Grand total of $60 give or take a few bucks
They turned out pretty good if you ask me.
