Been working on a few things. First problem was the starter wasn’t engaging properly, would only start about half the time. Picked up a new one from the parts store.
noticed this when I pulled the old one. Are these rocks? The old stater was full of them. Very weird.
New one installed pretty easily, now it starts like a champ!
I also added a Mexican blanket over the seat to cover it up, looks much better.
Noticed the steering was pretty wonky when driving around. Letting off the gas the truck wanted to veer to the left. Checked out the rear suspension bushings and lo and behold they were shot. The rear axle was shifting all over the place.
The bolts did not want to come out. They seemed to fuse with the metal sleeve inside the bushing so they didn’t budge no matter how hard I hit it. Angle grinder time!
Had to cut those mofos out.
The grinding wheel was just a bit too small so took forever as I had to keep rotating the bolt. The bushing was totally shot.
Threw some grease on the nice new bushing and got it installed.

Hi! Nice work on the build. Amazing progress! By the way, I've checked air lift suspension on 4WheelOnline after reading your build last week.
