Well since I work all the time now, I decided to take a project to work and give me something to do during "down time" Awhile ago I bought some 69 Z/28 emblems for the fenders and rear panel. Well the fender emblems where flaking so I decided to redo the emblems. Easy to do and not too time consuming, nice little project.

First I took a wire wheel and that took off all the old paint, just had to go slow so the wheel wouldnt gouge the metal. Then cleaned it all up with soap and water and let it dry. Then, I bought some red, white, and black duplicolor touch up paint. Found if you go a little heavy, it doesnt leave brush marks. Got a little paint over the metal edges, which I fixed by carefully sanding off with 320 grit sandpaper. The 320 leaves some sanding marks so I dry sanded and followed by wetsanding with 1500 grit sandpaper until all the marks where gone.

Looks like new, should look alot nicer on the Camaro!

Also turns out the Torque Thurst 2's will NOT work on the car in a 15 inch wheel. I got the fronts (15x4 with 1.5 BS and 165/80R15 Tire) to fit ok, but the rears stuck out way too far for my taste. Best I could do on a 15x8 wheel was 4.5 BS compared to the favored 5.5 BS. So back to American Racing those wheels go.

Now going to go with the Weld ProStars in a 15x3.5 for the front and 15x8 in the back. These were actually my first choice but if the Torque Thusts would have fit, I would have paid half the price. So cant wait till these get in, I need to order open lug nuts and longer wheel studs in the meantime. Anyone know what studs to go with?
