Fired her up today for the first time! Sounds great with open headers but I am looking forward to hearing it once the Y pipe is installed and it feeds through the Borla catback.
Items of concern:
1.) Car won't go into gear while running. I started a thread in tranny section, working on that.
2.) Looks like I might have a leak somewhere. Could be just spills from coolant filling and trying to bleed hydraulics. I'll look into this later.
3.) Check gauges light is on, I am guessing oil pressure might be high. What is normal? Mine looks to be reading 70+.
Well I had the oil pressure sensor and low oil sensor backwards, when I fixed it, thats when the check gauges light came on, so I dunno, I assumed it was because oil pressure was high.
With the tranny, the car will go into gear when it is off, but will not when the car is running. When I try to put the car into gear it will start to move the car forward and then kill the motor. I picked up a mity vac from autozone and used a method that someone made a writeup for on this forum, but still had no luck.

So I ended up taking the car to the tranny shop, since I don't have room to drop a tranny. The problem ended up being a bad clutch fork. Fixed and finally got to drive her! She rides very rough, probably because of the poly motor mounts and open headers. I will get a video up this weekend!
In the meantime, more goodies in the mail:
Things left to do:
-Find out why the oil pressure is so high
-fix oil leak at low pressure sensor
-reroute and shorten spark plug wires
-find a more permanent solution to the caps (I need a breather)
-paint the engine pay
-add some wire looms
-install y-pipe
-get insurance
-get inspection
-get registration
-DYNO TUNE
Exactly what headers did you use while building this? How is your access to the spark plugs with the headers on? What ended up being the issue with motor mounts and steering linkage on the driver side around the headers? Thanks, and sweet build!
