Ya I'm here lol
It is very weird not seeing this thread on the first page. After cleaning the garage I got another project goin on now. Couple months ago the Grand Am I sold my grandson had an over heating prob. The shop it was at said it needed a water pump, intake gaskets and a thermostat. After doing all that, it still over heated. If finally got so bad, I could see air bubbles in the overflow tank while it was ideling. After pulling the spark plugs, the #6 plug was rusted, the other 5 ok. After pulling the back head, I think I found a blown head gasket. Gonna do both while it's apart.
Figured I would throw in a few pics of the garage now after cleaning. This thread will get more active come winter.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Hooooooooooooo!!!
I get to work on the camaro tonight :bowtie:
I got the end links from ErikSoCal(Erik) and the frame mounts from the local speed shop. All are Energy Suspension pollies. The frame mounts are greaseable.
Pics of the bar installed comming up latter.

Got the front sway bar on
I'll tell ya, just form looking at the size of the 1 1/4" bar I am glad I made the plates with the nuts welded to them for inside the frame to mount the bar. Makes me feel much more comfortable it won't pull out of the frame. I thought she was tight n responsive before the bar, I can't wait to take her for a ride tomorrow and fell the difference. (Yes, I've been driving her without the front sway bar)

I now have a working gas gauge

Got tired of not knowing how much gas was in her. I figured since the gas gauge works thanks to Daniel, I would hook up the extra one I got and guess what........................it worked. So I dropped the tank and hooked that one up and it worked tooooo!.
Before I put the tank in I did some searching n reading about checking sending units here, and my DVM said that both of the sending units I have where bad. Got no ohm reading from both units.
So.......................I do not under stand how they check bad, but work when hooked up. Anyone got some insite on this

Progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With it cold, wet n rainy outside I had to find something to do lol So I started my hidden wiper conversion. I didn't notice the wiper motor I bought off Ebay($5) awhile back came with the mounting plate. I got the motor n plate cleaned up n painted ready to install. The plate I sandblasted n the motor just wire wheeled. "If" nothing is going on tomorrow I will get these parts installed.

Thanks Pat and Venom,
Got the wiper motor finally mounted. I did a search for wiper wiring and found this thread by Brent(earlysecond), his wiring is right on the money.
http://nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13698
I took the switch out of the bezel and wired it all up under the hood, works great. Now I just gotta add the wires from the switch to the wiper motor lol
Now I just need the transmission arms n wiper arms.

We now have a working hide-away wiper motor   Still need the transmission arms n wiper arms.

Check out the smokin deal I got on the hide-away transmission arms and bracket to the wiper motor on Ebay. (He forgot to pack the bracket, he will send that in the am). Was listed for $9.99, figured that was a good deal but while watching tv I feel asleep n missed the end of listing. Couple days latter was relisted for 99 cents starting bid. No one bid on it so I got it for.............ya....................99 cents   (plus shipping)
Got it cleaned up, primed n ready for gloss black. Now all I need are the wiper arms

Ready to install tomorrow after paint is fully dry.

Finally got the wiper trans arms installed. So I figure the cowl vent can go on permanent. Now is a good time to put the screen on. Thanks to masparks for this one.
I didn't have any screen laying around so I used some of that black stuff ya put on the ground before mulch so weeds don't grow thru it. So far so good.

Ok, thats done. Kinda hard to get pics of it on the car but here they are.
Oh ya........................make sure ya have the screen on the BOTTOM of the vent lmao

Started to tiddy up my spark plug wires a bit. Got a cheapo set of the plastic wire seperators. Bolted the back half to the valve cover and test fit a wire on the bench to make sure all lines up good. I used RTV red silicone on the bolts thru the valve cover. Hopefull more to come tomorrow.

EDIT: Now I gotta do something with the dip stick.

Wiper arms came off Ebay yesterday($3 plus the ride) Had them on yesterday with no rubbing issues on the hdod  . Autozone still sells the wiper refills, so I was able to keep the low profile blades. Got them blasted, primed n painted trim black. Hopefull get them installed tomorrow n mark one more thing off the winter list  :bowtie:

The hide-away wiper conversion is COMPLETE!
On final install................. nothing rubs the hood Now if my cowl seal clip set would get here, I could put the cowl seal on.

EDIT: Looking at the first pic reminds me I should do something about the dist. power wires lol

Ok.........................got the dist. power wires done too.

Got the cowl seal clip set today. Clip set n seal are both OER. Got the short pieces on the cowl, started putting the seal on the hood, was going good till I got to the driver side, seem like it is about 2" to long? All the clips lined up good with the holes in the cowl hood. On the part that looks to long, there is one clip that has nowhere to go. Waiting for replies in the camaro questions forum before I cut it where it is to long in case I have it installed wrong.

Oh ya, all the holes were in the seal n the hood closes fine, does not stick up in the back like I've read about.

Got some new toys today in preperation for winter projects, which will be starting soon. I will put in a temp. sending switch n relay for the fan, and relays for the high n low beams.
Thanks Bob(bobt101)

Nothing earth shaking but I figured while I am in the garage bored, having a few cold ones might as well get something done. I installed the fan sending switch and mocked up the relay plate.

Here ya go Scott. The bracket is nothing special, just a stock bracket for manual trans car.
I have the Pro Comp. air-gap, same as the Edelbrock air-gap but awhole lot cheaper.

EDIT: I have no idea where, when, why or how I got it, and no idea what it is off of lol
