Well this is as good as the core support gets lol I am leaving all the rust proofing under the radiator, ya know its gonna get wet under there lol

It is friday and the garage is getting out of control again. Time to have a few beers and clean the garage

Hopefully tomorrow get the core support painted and installed!

Got the core support painted, Eastwood chassis black satin. I figured as long as I gotta clean the gun, might as well paint the hood latch n support tooooooo.

OMG.................... I just love when ya run into probs ya didn't know ya had
Set the rad in and found a few probs. First off the rad is about 2" taller then it should be. So I am figuring the hood won't close
2nd, somebody bought the chrome top to short.
3rd, not sure if there is room for an aluminum shroud. Only got 2 1/2" between the fan and WP pulley.

So what do I do now??? Do I cut the coresuport where the rad sits and drop it down 2"? Maybe I should have test fit the rad before I painted the coresupport.

Anyone got any ideas short of buying a smaller rad, because that is not an option
This engine and rad in my stock car never over heated!

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Hooooooooooooooooo I can fix it
The lower valance is no where near the rad at the bottom. I'll drop the rad 2" and it will still be behind the center spoiler on the valance, will not be able to see it from the front

Now where did I put that Sawzall.....................

Got the piece cut off the coresupport. Used a 2x4 and the floor jack to position the rad where I want it. I do not like how that chrome piece sits so it will go back in plastic and put on the shelf. I'll come up with something for the top after I finish the bottom.

Got all the pieces cut out and one side put together.

Now go have some dinner Rob lol

Got the other side made up. Hopefully tomorrow get both pieces welded to the coresupport and go from there

Got the bottom rubbers in place and tacked each side to the core support. Now to remove the rubbers n finish welding, and 24 comes on in less then an hr

Got the fuel pump in too. It is a Procomp high flow stock preasure chrome pump. $32.40 on Ebay with shipping.
When I had this engine built for my stock car, the builder put in a lightweight Moroso fuel pump push rod.
While debating about the top rad mounts, I think I'll play with the carb. Maybe at least get it apart tonight.

Got the carb cleaned up, rebuilt, painted and installed   Thanks to Hans(aka Skaal-tel 79) for a screamin deal on the carb.
Under each pic is a descrition of that pic.

Carb when I got it. Just alittle diry from age, no biggie!

All sandblasted. The top is just set on for the pic.

Ready for some clear.
