Well ya know it is Monday so I had to take a break to watch 24. But I did manage to finish up the sanding and get the front all masked off. Tomorrow will finsh all the masking to be ready for primer
I might wait till Wednesday to spray, it will be in the mid 40's here. Will be easier to put the fan in the door in the 40's and not 20's lol

Well, got a small change in plans. I won't do any painting till I get the new respirator I odered this morning, should have it friday. The shifter install kit should be here friday too
So I got the Ram clutch and Lakewood bellhousing all mounted up. I am not sure what I wanna do about the bolts for the bellhousing. Ya can see in the last pic, the bolt on the lower right side I can not get a socket on Maybe get some grade 8 socket caps. First I'll look n see if ARP makes them.
I guess as long as I am getting something done, thats what counts lol

Here is the next project I'll be workin on for a few days. I need to fab up a plate to mount to the trans and the shifter to that plate.

Should very intersting LOL
Today I'll just look at it n think about it for awhile

The big brown truck came today

Got the shifter install kit n hydraulic throwout bearing.
I bought the install kit for the T-10 trans cause they don't make the kit for the V-gate 2 for the saginaw trans anymore. I still have to fab a mounting plate but everything else should be good.

Ok, back to work

No mods to the bellhousing to run a hydraulic throwout bearing. The bearing slides on the front of trans, measure and shim, thats it.
There are different bearings for different clutches. Don't forget ya need a master with a bore size to match the bearing you will use. And a good place to mount it and hook up to the clutch pedal. That is one reason I went with manual brakes. To get rid of the power booster so I had room for the remote resivior for the clutch master.

This is "about" where the shifter needs to be, give or take alittle lol

Heres the start of the mounting plate.

So far so good.
Looks like tomorrow I need to put the engine n trans back in the car to see exactly where the shiter goes on the bracket. Prolly put the drive seat n steering colum in too.

The more I think about it, tomorrow should be interesting..............

Thats it for now. Don't know what I'm gonna do with that boot..............that thing is HUUUUUUUGE!!!

Oh ya, check out the last pic lol I figured out how to use the timer on the camera.

So I was bored lol. Figured out the camera has video
Lets see if this works. Looks like it should.

EDIT: Waaaaaaaaaa Hoooooooooooo it works

Doesn't look a whole lot different but I lowered the shifter on the mounting bracket 1". Now the shifer parts do not hit the boot in the neutral posision. Kinda hard to see in the pics but the boot does not even come close to touching the tunnel on the left and left back side. I'll prolly end up putting some sheet metal there with a lip on the top for the boot to sit flat. I will cross that bridge when the engine n trans are in permanent.

I have no idea for my plans tomorrow, but I am geting tired of seeing the car in black primer lol
I got my respirator yesterday so maybe I'll get the 2K grey primer put on.

Then I was thinkin(ya I know)to put the engine n trans in permanent, I need to finish the front brake lines. To do that I need a master and maybe a new proportion valve.

OMG I am so cofused LOL

Enough rambling for today.
