Figured I should get somethin done today lol
I will be useing a hydraulic throwout bearing for the clutch, did some mock up on the mast cyl. for throwout bearing.
I will be going with a manual master for brake to do away with the power booster.

I was so worried about tweaking from the rotisserie to being on her own 4 feet, but none so far
Can't finish the master for clutch till payday so I figured it's time to put the rest of the body together to line everything up. Got the pasanger door on. Next the driver door then getting the core support ready.
Tommorrow I think I'll put in the engine n trans just to have the weight on the nose, then start on the fenders. Wish me luck lol
Thought ya might wanna see how I install a door by myself.
I will NEVER use a floor jack and a piece of 2X4 again!!!
Sorry took so long for some pics but it took awhile to get photobucket to load on garage puter.
Here is the driver door installed.
The last 2 pics are an idea I came up with to make sure the doors went back on in the same place as when i was test fitting parts on the rotisserie. I driled two 3/16" holes in both hinges to make sure they went back in the exact same place. Guess what...............it worked lol

Got the core support ready to install. Gonna put the engine n trans in just to have the weight on the nose.
The holes for core support on the top of the frame were 1" ID and needed to be 1 1/2" ID. I drilled 2 small holes to mount a 2X4 and drill the 1 1/2" ID holes.
Got the engine, trans and core support in place.
You have no idea how much I WISH the engine n trans could stay in there!!!
Well ya know me.........................I had to get the fenders and the new bolt kit outta the attic and hang them with a few bolts just so they don't hit the floor lol
Hopefuly more to come tomorrow

Got the right fender all lined up n tight. On to the left side.
After the left fender, then the header panel n hood. Can't wait to get the hood on, that will tell the whole story lol
Got the left fender lined up n tight. The center body line is alittle off, but if I move the fender down I loose the bottom body line n the top. So I guess I'll just split the difference and live with it. These are repop fenders. For repop fenders I think they fit pretty well though. Forgot to get the header panel and lower valance out of the attic yesterday so that is next.
Then install the header panel n hood.
All ready for the hood
Gota wait alittle bit for my daughter to come over to help.
Got the hood on but it still needs some tweaking. I didn't put in the inner wheel wells and noticed when we tried to move the hood it was also moving the fenders where the inner fender bolts to. So we took the hood back off so I can put the inners in and tomorrow put the hood back on and see how that works.
Well I think thats about it for today lol
Finally got both inner fenders in. Tomorrrow will try the hood again n see if we can get it all lined up
Hopefully it will be better with both fenders solid.

Here is where I am at after trying to line up the hood. No matter how much we adjusted, we could not get the hood to fit square. Left and right are good but front to back is off about 1/4". Right side hits the header panel and the left side would go in if the right does not hit. So we did some measureing, from the bottom of the A-pillar to the front of each fender. The left side is 1/4" longer then the right side. So I think that is my 1/4" for the hood to fit square with the header panel.
I am going to try and move the right fender forward 1/8" and move the left fender back 1/8". That should buy me my 1/4". I also measured to make sure I can center the doors between the quarters and fenders and still have good gaps.
Amazing Job! Really saved this car from rusting away!
