Its Alive>>>
Ok after pulling the trans swaping around the flexplate, pulling the exhaust and the R/S header, dropping the fuel tank and putting everything back we finally brought this engine to life. First is a few pics after the break in, then 2 videos. The first video is when the motor first fired, but my son was doing the taping and got stung by a bee and dropped the camera. The second is after it started. The new motor and exhaust sound sweet. I still need to drop the oil and filter for inspection tommorrow but I didnt see any sparklers on the dip stick. My buddy Mike and myself are on the video, Im the one with the ripped pants.
Here are a few video clips........ The first starts out upside down why I dont know. My son drops the camera as soon as it starts but it keeps taping.
This is the first video Ive posted hope it works.

Vacations over back to weekends...
Starting on the drivers side door i installed all of the guts with the exception of the lock cyl. I could not find the new gaskets i bought for them. The upper weatherstrip channels were also installed and new blow out clips attached, and window adjusted. When i started on the pass side I found my window reg spring was broke in two. I just posted in the swap meet section looking for a new spring.
Since the pass door was a no go I moved onto my trunk, The inside was sanded and cleaned, then the car was masked off, Lights removed and I painted inside the trunk with some GM trunk paint. The weather turned crappy and ran out of time to top coat the trunk with clear, Maybe tommorrow if weather permits.
Thanks for stoppin bye...............................Rob

Weekend progress..
For starters I installed the spring that Clay was nice enough to send me in my r/s window reg. All internals were installed in the door including the roof rail channels and weatherstrips. Both door lock cylinders were also put in. My felt strips were worn out and needed to be replaced. I ordered some and they didnt even cover the metal on the bracket and all they were was velcro. So at home depot i bought some wider velcro and cut my own to fit.
Then I moved into the trunk area, installing the lock cyl, Licence plate lamps, and wiring harness. The first pic are some clips i picked up at home Depot they have 2 sided tape on the back and slots for ties straps. they fit under the back rail of my trunk lip to help hide my harness.
Both rear wheel houses were coated, shocks installed, and bump stops were also bolted in place.
My steering coloumn had a few battle scars from installation so it was sanded and repainted with John Deere Blitz black Rattle can. This paint gave an amazing smooth finish ( 2 part paint in a rattle can) for 7$. It has some dust on it in the pic but it turned out real nice. My rear view mirror was also stripped and painted and installed on the car.
The car was also washed to check for water leaks before proceeding with the interior install. I had a small leak around one tail light gasket, and a small leak on the drivers side lower kick panel. I will take care of these two areas in the next few days. Since the car was getting its first bath i figured add a little soap and give it a wash while Im at it.
Great cars so cool back then. I believe about $3,600 at the time?
