So on Wednesday in going to start with taking the car apart. Have some kooks catless headers I picked up to go with the 2.5 and FIC850's. Need to get the car jacked up as high as I can to do the header install. I had a couple of questions though before I get started.
First question is do any of you guys know the part number for the taylor plug wires
. Can't find just the wites alone anywhere. I've only seen the combo with I believe the heat wraps. I already have some sleeves so I don't need extras. Some people keep saying that new wires are required with the kooks.
Secondly is will I be able to drive the car 25 miles untuned with all the stuff out in. Obviously if I do that would mean no getting into boost and just taking it easy. If not I can get it trailered but will I be able to drive it on and off the trailer? I asked this before but only got one response. Thanks guys.
Yea I generally avoid valeting the V whenever possible. Unfortunately there are just some situations where it's the only option. This was one of them. So far the few times I've valeted the car there hasn't been any misuse of her. I always check my mileage when I hand over the keys to the V. Plus most of the valets here are pretty cool.
As for Ben I've talked to him a couple times and I did strongly consider having him tune my car. Unfortunately bens schedule is pretty busy usually so I didn't want to have to inconvenience him on getting it tuned. Heck I haven't even been able to meet up with him yet. Plus Ben tunes with efilive and most other tuners use hptuners. I didn't want to have to pay for credits twice. So I decided to make and appointment with BSM to tune it. She goes in on the 14th.

So I finally finished installing the kooks long tubes and catless xpipe tonight. Took roughly a day and a half to get it all in. Had a couple hiccups along the way. First the xpipe didn't line up with the headers. Xpipe was about 1/2" too narrow. Had to bend the xpipe out some and pull the headers in to get it to line up. Then we moved on to the mid sections. One side wouldn't slip into the slip joint on the rear and wouldn't line up. After bending the slip joint open a bit to get it to fit we realized that the whole pipe was too long. Cut the midsection down by an inch and she slid right into the slip joint no problem, talk about dumb. After that everything lined up just how it should and bolted up pretty easy. Working off of jack stands was a bitch and a half. Couldn't get a good eyeball on if the pipes were all lined up and perfectly level. I'll do that when we get the lift installed here in a few weeks. Just need to double check the joints because I hear a leak and retorque. Sunday I'll start on the motor stuff. Sorry no pics so far. May try and take some before I take it off the jack stands.

Quick update. Car is all together except for the new plugs. Need to put the plugs in on Sunday. The the car is being trailered to the tuner on Tuesday morning. Anybody want to take a guess at numbers. It has a new era intake with 2.5, ported ls7 and kooks catless longtubes. The car is an m6. Can't wait.
I'm hoping I'm all set after this one tune. The tuner is so backed up I probably wouldn't be able to get a touch up for over a month. Any guess on numbers bro?
These cars are such beasts :)
