I thought my car was an aircraft.... found the fuel pump : )
Originally created for military use, this design has been in production longer than any other Carter model. Rotating vanes driven by a heavy-duty wet motor deliver pressure from 4 to 18 psi at a flow rate of up to 100 gallons per hour. This provides excellent lift and prime capability. The pump is available in 6-, 12- and 24-volt versions. It is appropriate for RV, marine, agricultural, industrial and performance applications."
I was able to remove all the brake lines without any issues for once : )
and I pulled back the insulation on the bulkhead to see this : )

I stripped the engine bay down to bare metal by use of multiple wire wheels, drills, and angle grinders. Also I used some chemical stripper I picked up at home depot, it comes with a spray bottle similar to windex but smaller and a whole jug of stripper and it works amazingly well, I wish I started with it, it peals the factory paint off like it wasn't even there.

My buddy was able to come up this weekend (actually sunday we worked on the car) and got the engine bay painted!
Late night once again. I really hate taking the truck to work instead of the motorcycle but I have to move tools and parts back and forth so gota do watcha gota do.
Well anyways enough of my complaining..... Today I brought the "new" strut assemblies to work and after hours I was able to resurface the rotors and clean up the strut towers and calipers. The bearings looked as though they have recently been replaced along with the what is to be believed as the volvo front brakes. I just resurfaced the rotors because of a decent amount of surface rust.
So I took the strut housings, the hubs and front brakes off of the new car and the springs and strut bearings off of the old car to make a nice set of front strut assemblies. Now I didn't mention about the struts themselves. Come to find out that the new car had HD Bilsteins installed already! I had some issues with the other set so I ended up keeping these because not only did they match, but they appeared to have very little miles on them!
This weekend the goal is to get the car running. My buddy from atlantic city is coming up (the same one who painted the car) to help me get her running. I will have video up as soon as she is!

well.....my friend came over to help and asked if we were getting the engine in tonight. I said no.....
As predicted the engine caught the rad support on the way in a slightly nicked the new paint even though it was covered in towels. :/ when my buddy comes up I plan on fixing it even thigh it isn't that horrible.

Today I had two of my best friends helping me with the car. We got a hell of a lot of work done to both cars. By the end of the day we got the engine cranking but it sounds off time and that was around 8:30 so I could not continue because it was getting late. : /
