Engine bay almost done. Fan inlet completed today and heater core cover welded in place.

I started to clearance the frame for the driveshafts today but some tool problems prevented it. 

I decided to move on to the tailgate to see if I could remove the folds and dents.

First thing I did was to cut the 4 spotwelds along the sides. Then I removed the lower hinge tubes.

I then lifted the folded edges and opened the tailgate like a sandwich.

Typically I got so into the work that I didn't get any pics untill it was back together.  It was a lot worse before. At least now the body shop can do something with it.

You can kind of see the crease in this old pic

There was a vertical crease right up the middle and a dent right below the 'G'.

She's pretty straight now.
