Spoonfedtuning Rear Wing Install Pictures and Review
Compliments of JamesS @ www.vwvortex.com
Arrived home this afternoon after school and my dog informed me that low and behold a package had arrived. Sorry for all the blurry pics I only had my phone.
So, of course, I unpacked it. Undamaged, (was packed very well) I basked in its glory. My first impression was that it felt sturdy and well made. It was straight and would need minimal sanding before I painted it later on down the road.
Now it was time to install it. Super straightforward. Use an allen key to loosen the bolt on the stalk and lift it out then use the same allen key to take the bracket off the spoiler.
Here is a picture of the two spoilers spooning each other:
Next, purely out of curiosity I weighed them
OEM- 1713 g
SPOONFEDTUNING- 1215 g
Now I put the bracket on the new spoiler ( wow this pic makes me dizzy). I couldn't get the back bolt to thread but I think I will be able to later with some effort
This is just a test fit so the gaps might not be 100% I havent done a final adjustment.
Finally, the money shots you have been waiting for:

Flaccid Corrado
Some shots at different angles
Here are some comparison shots (old ones are better pictures but you get the idea)
Overall, I really like the look it gives. Subtle, yet sporty. Fit is very OEM like. I haven't drilled any holes in it yet for venting but i will before I run it full time. Looks good, fits great! two thumbs up in my books.
My spoiler goes up at 70kph like the North American ones. My guess is that since in Japan there are a bunch of speed restrictions they made it go up sooner for that market. Anyways, I just took some more pictures. Sorry for the dirty car but you can get an idea of what it looks like from the side.
