Just a quick update (or lack their of). I have been on the road for work a lot lately and when I have been home I have been super busy with home stuff. Its going to be a few more days until I get a chance to work on the car again but I am so close to starting it up.
I do have some kind of issue with my meth system now flowing enough and I would really like to resolve that before I fully reassemble the car again. Hopefully I will have an update before to long.

Well, I pretty much fell off the face of the earth... LOL, work has been nuts, travel has been nuts, life has been nuts. I opened the garage to make sure the car was still there tonight and I figured that I would just throw a quick update out there. Hopefully the car will run in about two weeks but thats even a bit up in the air. Its really just a function of time to work on it as I have everything in the garage waiting for me. look for an update by early March.

I had some unplanned down time today so I spent a few hours in the garage working on the car. Its 99% at this point which is a good feeling! I need to create a new bracket for the external wastegate dump tubes and fix whatever the issue is with the meth kit.
Here are a few pictures from tonight:
O yeah, I also have this issue:

Well, I dont work for Moore Performance (just a customer) and I dont want to misinform you so you really should check with them. I will however do my best to describe what I had them do for me.
I have the VERY FIRST customer owned prototype so the items included with the shipping kit may be different. I have told them not to change a thing so I would imagine that my kit is very close to the shipping kit. Here's all the major parts that I needed them to provide me:
Turbo
Adapter (Stock TS to T3/T4)
Down-pipe
Cat-back adapter (MP Custom TS down-pipe to stock location cat back)
Header (I got a stock header but I think they have their own now in both 304 and 321)
Intake
All the custom silicone pieces, hoses, brackets, hardware and gaskets needed to hook the turbo up.
Again, I only have a prototype, the finished product is a bit more polished (packaging?) than what I have but even this early kit is the cats ass! Getting the FMIC worked out was the hardest piece. Moore Performance built most of my custom FMIC pipes too but I dont think thats part of the turbo kit since my car is fairly customized.
WhatTurboLag,
Here's a pict of the car assembled from this past summer so you can see what it all looks like.
Man, I just cant win for loosing. I filled my car with coolant last week (oil too) and my radiator is leaking from somewhere near the bottom center. I guess I will see if Mishimoto really offers a lifetime warranty.

I submitted a warranty claim on their website over the weekend and the form promised a response within 24 hours. When I didn't hear anything from them today I decided to call. Guess what, they have two warranty claims submission forms on their website and one of them doesn't work. I re-submitted everything as they asked and I will check again tomorrow. I will keep you posted.

Speaking of blowing up, I am having a really hard time getting back into this. I haven't worked on the car since Christmas and I am really struggling. I am honestly still pretty upset about what happened and I just cant shake the feeling. This makes working on the car feel like work not fun. What a bummer!

Yeah, I hear ya guys and I really really appreciate the kind words. I just cant help thinking that this year isn't going to be any better than last year. Here I am, $16k deep in motors alone and thats not to mention a single bolt on or consumable. By this point I could have purchased an used Ferrari. O well...
With a little luck I will finish it up in the next two weeks. I fully know that I am only hours away from startup but that also means the beginning of trouble again.

Well, I got the radiator totally swapped last week before heading inside at 3PM and calling it a weekend. My goal today is to force my self into the garage, re-assemble the boost control system, bracket up my EWG setup, install the oil cooler and turn the key. Who knows if I will actually get that far or not but I will try.
About five minutes ago I started my STI for the first time in over 7 months! I let it run for about two minutes before shutting it down. Everything seems to be fine. Here's to 2012 being better than 2011!
The STI has left the building!
Its official, I am back!
I just took the car out for a drive to break in the rings and it reminded me why I do this. Everything feels, sounds, looks and smells normal which really makes me happy. Even thought Phil (from Element) said that it wasn't necessary, I changed the oil as soon as I got home and there was nothing unusual there either.
After logging the car for an extended period it appears that the tune isn't that far off.

The celebration may be short lived. I logged my entire first drive yesterday and there's 8 separate sections of logs that show what appears to be knock. The issue is that this mostly occurs in vacuum and at very very low boost. I am really worried about the various reasons why the system would show knock in those conditions.
Well, it wasn't bad gas. I have a pretty sweet way of draining the gas tank to swap out fuel on an as-needed basis. I ran the tank dry and then put 3 gallons of fresh 93oct in so that I could drive to the local gas station to top the car off.
This was on my way home from the gas station. I didn't get over 18mph on this drive as its just a few blocks down my street.
Here are links to the actual logs:

I also suppose its possible that some of this noise is coming from my twin disk clutch. My stock ECU would throw misfire codes because it would make crazy noises. I see low or very low TPS centered in both the log screen shots above. I will have to go back and check the others to see if they are similar.
I see I screwed the profile up on a few of the logs because it shows two AFR readings, the first AFR reading is where TPS should normally be. I have that fixed now.
Here's the full log from yesterday since I forgot it from above:
