So I haven't had a chance to make any real progress in the last few days but I think this weekend should yield some good stuff. After hearing about a local guy who's car burn to the ground I decided to replace all the fuel lines under my hood for maximum safety. So after a lot of pondering I bit the bullet (and broke the bank in the process) and had Pegasus Auto Racing replicate my existing lines using Goodridge 910 Kevlar Braided PTFE Racing Hose. The new hoses are all made from pressed on ends, pressure tested and guaranteed forever. To make sure everything was an exact fit I simply sent Pegasus all my existing fuel line for them to make exact copies. It wasn't a cheap date but I don't think there's a better solution on the market.
I also decided to get a new camera since my cell phone really didn't cut it. Here are some random car pictures that I took tonight using my new "enthusiast grade" Nikon P7000.

They are here!
Here it is, just pressure tested everything and it seems good.
If I could go back to early October of 2010 and do it all over again I would have gone with standard injection hose and barbs just like you said. I totally agree that real fuel line is far better than stainless lines for many reasons. I also feel that real fuel lines are lots safer than stainless lines.
My stainless lines were a total train wreck and since I already had everything converted over to AN fittings I decided to move to the 910 Kevlar stuff instead of barbs. Trust me when I tell you that I will NEVER use stainless braided line for a fuel system again. I also wont use anything with a threaded fitting unless the hoses are assembled using crimp on ends.
The thought behind the 910 line with crimp on ends was that it would never leak or allow fuel vapor out since its a PTFE based line. It was also super flexible and extremely safe. The quality of this stuff was very clear while I was working with it tonight.
Nice!
