I guess the point here is that you're never going to be in control of your own "car destiny" because it really doesn't matter how hard you work, how good of a job you do or how much money you spend.
This is kind of why I am thinking of selling out. Hell, at this point I would have had 10x more fun with a stock civic SI and I would have spent $50k less.
Yeah, I hear you. A guy came and looked at the car today and he is going to go talk to the bank tomorrow. Basically I am leaving it all up to him; If he decided to buy the car then its gone but if he passes I think I am going to fix the motor and try one more time.
If he does decide to buy the car I need to get my crap together and part the STI out. I really am not looking forward to the process of selling everything but I guess thats life. By the way, orange, silver or yellow?

Guys, I have been thinking about this for almost two weeks now and I *have decided that I am not going to make any major decisions until I get the motor back to Element. Once Phil has a chance to see the motor and I have some kind of idea of what this is going to cost me I will make the final determination. *I have a buyer for the car that is willing to wait another two weeks and I think I may have also found a Lotus.
If I do sell the car I don't want to be seen as a "quitter" and I really don't feel thats what I would be doing. I have a family and a house to take care of and that must come before a toy. An upper $20k Lotus will be tons of fun totally stock. It will also free up tons of time for me to do the things that I have been putting off due to the Sti always being broken.
Nice!
