Its about time for a quick update. I have really been struggling with my fuel system for the past several days and I have been feeling somewhat beat down by this project. I have also come to the conclusion that -10 sized PTFE lines are very hard to assemble correctly (not standard SS lines, PTFE). At the beginning of the fuel line re-install I was 0 for 4 in getting the -10 hose ends to hold fuel without leaking. A week later I have discovered that three of the fittings were installation error and the fourth was defective. If you are reading this because you are researching fuel systems and PTFE line please feel free to PM me for advice. I would gladly send you my phone number and tell you all kinds of things that I would have loved to have known before I started this. I would say that there are two specific tricks to getting the lines correct:

-Be 100% sure that the stainless braid has been cut back enough to keep the wire from getting caught in the threads or by the olive. (this was 80% of my problem)

-Use an extremely sharp set of razor blade cutters, a cut-off wheel or some other specialized tool that can cut the inner PTFE liner absolutely clean and perpendicular to the tubing.

Any way, at this point, I have all the new line installed, all the hose ends are on and leak free except the defective one and I think (more like I hope and pray) things are starting to go a bit more my way.The hose and fittings vendor (siliconeintakes.com) has provided me with really good customer service which has helped a lot. Before I even finished explaining what was wrong with that leaking hose end they had another in a box and heading my way. My only complaint is that I have to exchange emails with a tech instead of talking to him over the phone. I would imagine that if I asked for a call back they would but they officially dont offer phone support.

I am also getting somewhat nervous about finishing on time. My tune date is exactly two weeks form today and I still don't have my intercooler pipes, intake, turbo and fuel system finished. Wish me luck.

Has anybody here ever towed a low Impreza with a U-Haul auto transport trailer like this?

I need to tow my car 200+ miles to get to Phil and there's no way I am driving it there. I have the use of a 2500HD truck to tow the car but I cant seem to find anybody to loan me a trailer. There's a U-Haul place that rents auto transport trailers less than two blocks from my house. It would be really easy for me to pick up a trailer form them but I am not sure if it would work. My primary concern is that my car is very low and that I will have problems getting the car on the trailer without damaging it. Does anybody have experience with this?
