This is amazing, I called JEGS today and talked to them about the SS fuel line that they sold me. I posted previously that they had sold me line that was supposed to prevent the fuel smell from entering the cabin. Unfortunately the line they sold me was horrible. The fuel smell is so bad in my garage that I have to open the big door and let it air out for a few minutes before I can even start working.

At first the JEGS rep argued with me saying that the hose that I purchased would never let fuel through and that I must have a leak. Thinking that the conversation was going nowhere I simply said "thank you, I appreciate your time, have a great day" and hung up.

About 25 minutes later my phone starts ringing and I see that its JEGS. The guy who I talked to apparently researched the issue on his own and found out that the hose they sold me does in fact not work well with fuel. The guy was very nice and offered to help me setup a return for everything even though I have had the items since October and they have been USED! From there I decided to order the PTFE hose from the link I posted above. I really hope this all works out, wish me luck!

Here are a few teaser shots of the fantastic (amazing) fab work being done on my IC pipes at Moore Performance. Note that these are the same pipes that I posted mock up shots of on the previous page. These specific welds are for the TiAL blow off valve's v-band flange.

I should have all my pipes back from Moore for a test fit tonight and then its on to get coated in wrinkle red. Its just fantastic that they can do all the welding and powder coating!

So here are a few picts of the new PTFE hose that I got from http://www.siliconeintakes.com. The hose is thinner than the stuff I was using before so it won't work with the clamps that I have (bummer). I just ordered slightly smaller clamps made for solid line which I hope will work.

I have no experience with this kind of line so I dont have any idea how it compares to the PTFE stuff that costs three times more. My first observations are that the line kinks easier than the traditional SS line and the ends are somewhat harder to assemble on the smaller -6 line. I would say that it's harder to work with in general due to the kinking but I can easily see how it's chemically superior to the standard line.
