I just got word form Moore Performance that my revised intercooler pipes are just about finished (I had them start working on them about five days ago). I am not sure I mentioned it before but the Moore solution to plump up an Evo turbo using an APS FMIC is to reverse the flow of the FMIC pipes (counter clockwise) by totally replacing the drivers side pipe and modifying the passenger side. From what I understand, the pipes should be finished around the time I am back from Colorado so hopefully I will have some picts pretty soon.

My 12 day trip triggered what could only be called a "crushing" backlog at work making lots late work nights a necessity. When I wasn't working I was spending time with my much neglected family so the car just had to wait.
Before I left for Colorado I was working with Moore Performance to get my top mount oil cooler setup working with their TS header. They were very helpful and as I posted previously, they modified my header a bit and re-coated it so that the oil lines could fit between the header and the block. Unfortunately, even with the bracket out of the way, the oil lines are still very tight and I am extremely concerned about cooking the lines.
In a display of amazing customer service, Ryan Moore actually drove 60 miles to my house a few weeks back to see the issues for him self. As a result of that meeting, Ryan has ordered a set of stainless spacers that look identical to exhaust gaskets. The spacers are a bit thicker than a standard OE exhaust gasket and should help give the oil lines just a bit more room. Ryan also advised me to purchase Inconel based heat shield to go between the header and the oil lines (hes a dealer for the stuff) so I have that piece on order as well. At this point, I just need to go down and pick everything up.
After nearly two weeks of ignoring my build I finally got a chance to work on the car for a few hours today. I started the afternoon off by pulling the motor back out of the car. I dropped it in right before I left for my 12 day Colorado trip (a month ago now) so that I could test fit a ton of stuff. I didn't install the clutch or any of the exhaust gaskets so the motor absolutely had to come out one last time. I had the motor out in about ten minutes and quickly moved on to the final under the hood fuel system work. I cut the fuel feed and return lines and install the ends which pretty much finished my fuel system. You can see in these pictures that my "Y" block fits right in the center of the motor so that the lines are perfectly even on both sizes.
I also finished up setting my my hybrid boost control system. I will be using a Hallman RX and a AVC-R in Ride5000's standard configuration.
My last picture is of my Element breather. I fitted a -6 AN hose onto the bottom of the can so it can be drained easily without being removed. The -6 line simply relocates the OE valve typically found in the bottom of the can to an easily reachable spot under the car.
I worked on several other small jobs as well including cutting and reinstalling the large plastic under-tray piece form the drivers side of the car. I had to remove it when I installed the fuel line and it required a significant amount of modification before it could be re-installed.
With a little luck, two or three good weeknight work sessions should put me into a position where I am ready to install the motor and button everything up for the last time. Once the motor is in things should go pretty quickly so its only a matter of time.
