Finally got her moved to a flat concrete surface. Not my favorite spot but its out of the rain and on solid ground. Would much rather have it in the shop but due to current situations with the owner i can get it in. Package came in from @wisefabusa to make this thing much easier to swap and drive. They sell a pretty nice setup to mount an e36/e46 bmw rack to the existing subframe. I bought just the piece needed to get the rack to work. Using stock arms for now as this will be a huge learning period for me. The rx7 has very old suspension and steering technology. As you can see in previous post this thing had a cage and now it doesnt. As a fabricator had to assess the quality of work that was done and it wasnt up to my standards. As the them continues, im removing most of the "fab" work that was done to this thing and redoing it better. This came with a rear firewall already built but not to my standards to i cut it out. Rebuilt it using better material and with a cleaner look. I have actual ducts for it and weatherstripping. Using my spare block for mock up, i built the engine mounts using 3/16 plate, 2 1/4 aluminum solid bar and c6 corvette engine mounts. Came out perfect and has a little adjustability incase i need to slide it forward or backwards when i mount the trans. Got the hardest part of the cage fabbed up (at least for me).
