Welding up the front spring crossmember

I started with only these three pieces of sheet metal... Wish me luck!
I just got this project started by finally talking to a guy who's home I've driven past nearly every day for the past 10 years, since I retired from the Army. Eventually I hope to motorvate it with an LS3-headed, crank-triggered coil-per-plug lit, sequential port electronic fuel injected, 300 CID Ford inline six cylinder backed up with a T56 gearbox... Wish me luck!
Sept 22, 2019 update
I have finally figured out where I am going with this thing... I have spent the past nine months planning out what I wanted, and started gathering some of the parts. Significantly, the drive train - a 200 inline 6 with the C4 transmission and 8 inch rear axle from a 1976 Ford Maverick.
Cool project!
