Received the headlights couple of weeks ago
mounted them
and last Friday I worked on the car around the clock 12 hours in a row together with a friend.
Made a huge progress. Rear is fully R-design facelifted. Sideskirts are the facelifted color-coded ones.
Just need to smooth the frontbumper and paint it. coming along nicely
Some work in progress pictures during that friday
before
removed the bumper and started doing the taillights
Polishing the color-coded facelift skirts
front wich needs some work
Facelifted R-design rear still need to buy the protection thing on top of the bumper.
Plastic-welding the frontbumper and smoothing it.
I need the facelift rearbumper brackets under the taillights to support the rearbumper
Also the sticking out is cause I didn't tighten the screws holding the taillights
PS: I found out what causes the headlights to stick out a few mm
the facelift uses a plastic form under the headlights to form the bumper smoothly across the headlight. The pre-facelift doesn't have this plastic.
I ductaped a sponge on the inside of the bumper to see how that works and it works like a charm the sponge acts like a spacer between the bumper and the frame. so I will place a thick piece of rubber instead of the sponge so it will look good
