The front end is pretty much done. We are waiting for the wheel to finish the machine work to increase the bore size before it can be put back on the ground.  



The gas filler is almost done. It will require a little shaping to contour to the body and will eventually be painted body color instead of chrome. It is a style often used on motorcycles and pops up when yo push it. It is pretty slick and smooth.



We have also decided on the paint color. It will be painted Aston Martin Tungsten Silver. It looks a little darker in this picture than it really is. When I look at it in other pictures and in daylight it is a bit lighter.

We started discussing the door handles today. You know you are in trouble when your body guy says, "With all the body mods you have made it would be a shame to leave the door handles stock." More on that to come..............

Thanks ccrunner. After looking long and hard at the front valance area of the car I am going to make some changes to it. I don't like how the opening of the lower grill area are sharp and angular. I am going to have the edges rounded off to more mimic a similar shape to the original grill opening. I think it will look better.

What do you guys think of the lower grill opening having a grill that matches the top? I think having the white gelcoat throws it off visually and it will be nice when everything is the same color. I am just concerned that the grill in the lower opening that matches the top may be a bit overpowering. It is a few screws that hold it in place so if I don't like it I can easily take it off when the car is done.

I received the wheels back from the machine shop where they increased the bore size to accommodate the larger bearings of the new suspension setup. It is amazing how much larger the bearings are! I forgot to take a picture otherwise I would have posted it. I hope to have the suspension in the next couple weeks. My biggest delay will be the chassis shop and their available time to take out the front of the car and replace it with the new clip. They are very busy with race cars and building a newer Challenger for one of those high speed races in the desert of Nevada. Looking for over 200 mph with that car. Carbon fiber brakes and all the goodies! Scary fast car!
